An old photograph carries much more than the thin black and white picture on curly paper that we see and hold in our hands. We wonder - who was that? did they really look like that? what was going on at the time? who took the photo and what was their reason?

I found an old photograph album of my mother's, and a short journal she kept during the months before and after my birth. I had - still have - my own questions, and soon found that the rest of my family had different answers. And different stories. What is that the pictures are meant to capture, and what is left out...

I explored the different stories that the pictures carry, for me and for my brothers and sisters. Here is the result.
